Just a quick note...

National Novel Writing Month is in full swing and I have been able to write about 2000 words a day for this first week, so mini celebration here -- woot woot! Saturday, November 7, I am heading north for the Vermillion Literary Project's annual short story contest, when I will have three hours to write a short story on a given theme (without having access to any resources, like the Internet or dictionaries). By the way, I actually WON the contest last year (I still can't believe it), and it has only taken me an entire year to return to the story, revise it, and (insert trumpeting here) publish it.

Skeleton Dance is the story of a young girl trying to survive the eccentricities of her grandmother (and let me tell you, her grandma is is a real doozy!). It's available now on Amazon for 99 cents.

Okay, back to my 50,000 words in 30 days. Follow along with my progress on my blog.

Thank you so much for reading my work. If you know anyone who might enjoy my writing, please feel free to forward this newsletter to them.

Thank you for sharing in this exciting ride with me!
